The Hamrin Foundation (the Carl-Olof and Jenz Hamrin Foundation) was founded in November 1985, when Jenz Hamrin and her daughter Christina donated a third of their shares in Herenco AB.
The Hamrin Foundation promotes scientific research by financially supporting individuals, research groups, institutions and projects. Since our founding, we have disbursed more than EUR 31 million.
From 2023 onwards, we will focus on research areas such as Public Policy and Media.

The Foundation’s main beneficiary is Jönköping University, which has received just over EUR 19 million from us. A majority of that funding has gone to Jönköping International Business School (JIBS).
From 2023 onwards, we will focus on research areas such as Public Policy and Media.

Our focus areas
The Hamrin Foundation creates interdisciplinary projects that move society, academia, and business. We facilitate and create projects with the mission to find new actionable answers to urgent matters in our society. We focus our work to five distinct areas. Within Public Policy we focus on Public Sector, The Academy, and Entrepreneurship. Within Media we focus on Free speech and Art.

Healthy finances to achieve our purpose
