T,he real estate company Hamhus has acquired the property Hackspetten 7 on Väster in central Jönköping at Juneporten from the Swedish Alliance Mission. The Swedish Alliance Mission has owned the property for over 100 years.
The property is a mixed-use building built in 1964 with shops, offices and residential units. The total lettable area is just over 5,000 square metres. The property also has a positive planning permission to develop the property and the detailed planning work is expected to start in 2022.
“Through the acquisition, we further advance our position on Väster in Jönköping. There is a lot happening on Väster now and we want to be part of the further development of the district”, says Simon Harrius, CEO of Hamhus.
As a result of the acquisition, Hamhus has a cluster of four properties on Västra Storgatan, which is also where Hamhus’ offices are located.
Our main priority now is to fill the vacant space on the ground floor, the premises have been empty for some time and we want to fill it with relevant content. There are many possible uses in addition to continuing with the grocery store. We at Hamhus are also delighted that the vendor, through its head office, will remain as a tenant on a long lease.
The Swedish Alliance Mission is the seller and has owned the property for over 100 years.
“Hackspetten 7 has been a fantastic asset to our business for a long time. We have now decided that the property is best developed under other management and we are pleased that Hamhus, with its good reputation and local presence, will be the new owner and landlord”, says Ulf Häggqvist, SAM’s mission director.
Pangea Property Partners and Anno Advokater advised the seller in the transaction. Delphi Advokatbyrå has advised the buyer. The purchase price has not been disclosed.
